Ya Sa Kyi Trekking Tour
Look, just right now, when I prepared
the itinerary, I need to know the information of
Ya Sa Kyi. Just three steps to the book shelf and
open the glass door and....... Yes! I found it what
a lovely memory from Ya sa Kyi village.
Scenic drive over the hills of the Shan plateau,
passing through colourful vegetables farms, mustard
and wheat fields, through the countryside of magnificent
beauty. Trekking starts from Pindaya which is situated
1164m above the sea level and noted for its extensive
limestone caves, hand made Shan paper, parasols
from mulberry bark.

Trekking starts from Pindaya to Yasakyi Village
Day 1: Pindaya - Yasakyi Village
4 hour-walk (10 km) to the remote Palaung village of
Yasakyi. On the way pass through traditional real hill tribes.
Htut Ni is very famous for tea leaf farms and their majority
work is tea leave plantations. On the way, passing through
the colourful plantations. Then Srr Kya Inn village then
Ya Sa kyi with overnight
stay in a traditional monastery. Dinner will be a very traditional
style by local trekking guides at the open fireplace. 2
hr climb (one way) of Yasakyi Hill (2,300m). Overnight in
Ya Sa Kyi Village.
Day 2: Yasakyi - Pindaya
Trekking from Ya Sa Kyi Village back to Pindaya. After
a traditional breakfast which is served by local guide,
another 4.5 hour walk (12 km) brings us back down to Pindaya.
On the way in and out these villages Linn Lee Inn. Me'ni
taugh. Pin sein Pin, then Taung Paw Gyi village which is
famous for Burmese traditional medicine and visit to practitioner
of indigenous medicine. Then continue to Pin Da Ya. Overnight
in Pindaya.
