Myanmar Classical Tour

Six day Tour in Three State
(Yangon, Mawlamyine, Hpa An, Kyaikhtiyoe, Bago, Yangon)

 
Day 1: Yangon
Welcome you at the Yangon international air port. Drive downtown to central post office where you will start your walking tour and walk along the Strand Road , the jetty to observe the ways of life of the people on Yangon River. Then walk in the Pansoedan Street, famous for the most impressive colonial buildings to be found in Yangon. And then to Sule Pagoda, City Hall, the high court, Mahabandola Garden.In the afternoon, visit to Bogyoke (Scott) market where a lot of food, clothing, handicrafts, and gems stores are located. Visit to the hand made glass blowing factory and explore the natural warehouse. Enjoy the sunset to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world's most spectacular monuments. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon - Mawlamyine
Morning drive to Mawlamyine(5 hours). Mawlamyine is an attractive, green, tropical town with groups of stupas capped hills on the other side of the sea. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

Day 3: Mawlamyine
Full day of sightseeing in and around Mawlamyine, visit the local market and the small town of Mudon (20km -1hour). A newly built huge reclining Buddha can be seen en route. Stop at Kyaukdalone, a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu temple facing each other. Sightseeing continues with the Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyaikthanlan Pagoda (known as the Kipling Pagoda) and Seindon Mibaya Kyaung, where King Mindon's wife sought refuge. These religious buildings are all situated on a mountain range from where beautiful sunsets can be observed. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

Day 4: Mawlamyine - Hpa An
Morning drive to Hpa An, which takes 4 hours by car. On the way to Hpa An passing through the beautiful landscape and natural Limestone caves. Sunset at Phame Hill beside the Than-Lwin River.

Day 5: Hpa An - Thaton - Kyaikhtiyoe
Morning drive to Thaton, on the way visit Bayin Nyi cave and then drive to Thaton, former capital of the Mon Kingdom. Then proceed to Kyaikhtiyo, from the base camp (Kinpun–Sakan), car ride up to Rathedaung and then walk up to the pagoda. The Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda (7.4 metres high) is built on the huge steep rock overlooking the panoramic view of the Sittaung river valley, green forests and beautiful mountain ranges etc- Sunset at the summit of the pagoda. Overnight in Kyaikhto Hotel.

Day 6: Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon
In the morning drive to Yangon 6, on the way visit the Mon villages passing through green forest. On the way, visit to the World War II Allied War Graves Cemetery. Tour highlights include Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda one of the most venerated Pagoda in Myanmar, Shwe Thalyaung, the world's most beautiful Reclining Buddha, wood curving industry and Kyaikpun Pagoda and beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight in Yangon.
