Day
1: Yangon (by car)
Drive downtown to central post office where you
will start your walking tour and walk along the
Strand Road and have a look around the jetty to
find out the real life on and around Yangon River.
Then walk along the Pansoedan Street, famous for
the most impressive colonial buildings in Yangon.
Then Sule Pagoda, City Hall, the high court, Mahabandola
Garden. In the afternoon, visit to Bogyoke (Scotts)
market with a lot of food, clothing, handicrafts,
and gems stores are located. Drive to the glass
factory to have a look at glass blowing then drive
to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world's most spectacular
monuments. Overnight in Yangon. |

Day 2: Yangon - Bago - Golden Rock (Kyaik Hti Yo) (by
car)
Morning drive to Kyaikhtiyo, (185 km ,4 hours drive ). On
the way visit to Bago which is one of the ancient city of
Mon emperor. Sightseeing include: especially Shwemawdaw
Pagoda, one of the venerated pagodas in Myanmar, Shwetharlaung,
the world's most beautiful reclining Buddha, wood curving
industry and Kyaikpon pagoda. Then continue to Golden rock.
From the base camp (Kinpun Sakan) take a car ride up to
Rathedaung (45 mins) and then walk up to the Kyaikhtiyo
Pagoda (45 mins), which is situated on the big boulder and
resting on the edge of huge steep rock.Enjoy the sunset
overlooking the panoramic view over Sittaung river valley,
green forests and beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight on
the hill.
Day
3: Golden rock - Pyay (by car)
In the morning, drive to Pyay, along the Ayeyawaddy River
and you can see the real life of Myanmar people from villages,
cities and town. Pyay (180 miles, 5 hours drive) North West
of Yangon on a sharp bend in the Ayeyarwady river. Pyay's
is decorated by hill top ruined pagodas famously lit at
night. On the way, visit Shwemyethman Pagoda (the huge bispectacled
Buddha image) and Shwenattaung Pagoda for it's panoramic
veiw. Sightseeing includes Paya Gyi (prototype 5th Century
stupa),Sriksetra (ancient city) and Shwesantaw Pagoda to
enjoy the sunset on the hill. Overnight in Pyay.
Day 4:Pyay - Mt. Popa (by car)
Pyay is one of the most famous ancient capital of Thri Kettaya,
and also the orign of Literature, culture Of Pyu ethinc.
Pyay is decorated by the runins and hill top Pagodas, lovely
situated on the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy river. Sightseeing
in Paya: the huge bespectacled Buddha of Shwe Myat Man Paya,
Shwe San Daw Paya, Paya JYi Paya which is the breast like
structure, the origin of the stupas, ruin palace site. Then
continue to Mt Popa(5hrs drive) driving along the Ayeyarwaddy
river site. Explore the senic view of the tropical region
of Myanmar. Overnight in Mt Popa (it is like a spa, oasis
of the tropical region). Overnight in Pyay.
Day 5: Mt Popa - Bagan (by car)
Morning visit to Mt. Popa, and extinct volcano. Generally
known as the abode of legendary Nats or spirit gods for
which the annual festival is held during Myanmar months.
On the top of the mountain, there are monasteries, pagodas,
and shrines in different styles. In the afternoon, continue
to Bagan (1 hr). On the way, observe the ways of life of
the palm trees Climber's life and their traditional sugar
palm workshops. Overnight in Bagan.
Day
6: Bagan sightseeing (by car)
In the morning, visit to local Nyaung-U market, Shwesigon
Pagoda, a prototype of later Myanmar to stupas, Htilomilo
Temple noted for its plaster carvings, Anada Temple, an
architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek cross, Anada
Okkyaung, a brick monastery with 18th century mural paintings.
After lunch, visit to a lacquer ware factory, Manuha Temple,
built in Mon style in 1059,Nan Phaya Temple, a unique sandstone
monument. Observe the sunset in the vicinity of Bagan's
ancient monuments. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 7: Bagan sightseeing (by car)
Explore the Bagan's temples by horse cart.Visit to Phwasaw
village passing among the stupas and temples. Explore the
Bagan views and ways of life of Bagan people.In the afternoon,
visit to Kyauk Gu U Min(stone carve temple) by boat. Enjoy
the Bagan sunset from the Boat on the Ayeyarwaddy river.
Overnight in Bagan.
Day 8: Bagan - Pakoku - Monywa (by car)
Morning drive to Pakoku(1 and half hours/other bank of the
river) is the biggest cotton production region and biggest
production of traditional weaving surrond(longyi), cigar
charoot work shops. Pakoku is a basic traditional living
standard town. Then continue to Monywa (2 and half hours).
Enjoy the sunset from the wild stoney bank of the Chin dwin
river. (it is like a painting). Overnight in Monywa.
Day 9: Monywa sightseeing (by car)
In the morning, drive to Phowun Taung caves with over 400,000
ancient Buddha Images, status, beautiful stone carving out
the whole mountain and mural dating from 14th to 16th century.
On theway, visit to copper production workshops in traditional
methods. Afternoon visit to Mohnyin Than Buddha pagoda where
more than 500,000 Buddha images are seated and which the
finest monastery in Myanmar, the world third biggest reclining
buddha image. Overnight in Monywa.
Day
10: Monywa - Sagaing - Amarapura - Mandalay (by car)
Another beautiful morning, on the road to Mandalay. On the
way passing through the growing rice fields, vegetable plantation
and beautiful landscape. After a 2 and half hours drive,
visit to Kaungmutaw Pagoda, an enormous solid dome shaped
pagoda, Ywadaung Village, traditional silver wears village
and picturesque Sagaing Hill, a retreat for Buddhist devotees
with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Afterward proceed
to Amarapura, U-Pein wooden bridge (1.2 km long) to get
unforgettable an sunset. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 11: Mandalay sightseeing (by car)
Morning visit to the venerable Mahamuni Pagoda, Myanmar
traditional handicraft workshops: marble works and wood
carvings, gold-leaf making and tapestry works. In the afternoon,
visit to Mandalay Palace, Shwe Kyaung (Golden Palace) Monastery,
Atumashi (incomparable) Monastery, Kuthotaw Pagoda, a large
Buddha Image carved out of a single block of marble. Enjoy
the sunset at the Mandalay Hill for a panoramic view of
the city. After dinner, visit to Mandalay marionette theatre.
Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 12: Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (by boat)
Morning excursion to Mingun by boat (11km up river ) from
Mandalay on the opposite bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Tour
highlights includes the huge unfinished Mingun Pagoda with
marble footprint of Buddha, Mingun Bell which weights 90
tons, and Myatheindan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces
at the base. In the afternoon, visit to Bamboo mat weaving
village by bull cart. Explore the sunset from the river.
Overnight in Mandalay.
Day
13: Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin (by car)
In the morning drive to Pyinoolwin (2 hourf drive). Pyin
Oo Lwin represented as Little London. It is a hill station,
and it has fine weather, beautiful flowers and trees, colonial
buildings and famous for wool knitting. Sightseeing in Pyinoolwin
includes the National Kandawgyi Garden, Pwekauk Waterfall
and Peikchinmyaung natural cave. Walk around the downtown
to see the colonial buildings. Overnight in Pyinoolwin.
Day 13: Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay (by car)
Morning, drive back to Mandalay by car(2 hrs dirve). Overnight
in Mandalay.
Day 14: Mandalay - Heho (by flight)/Pindaya (by car)
In the morning, transfer to Mandalay international aiport
to Heho. Then continue to Pindaya. Scenic drive over the
hills of the Shan plateau, passing through colorful vegetables
farms, mustard and wheat fields, through the countryside
of magnificent beauty. Pindaya is situated 1164m above the
sea level and noted for its extensive limestone caves, hand
made Shan paper, parasols from mulberry bark. Visit to Pindaya
stalactite and stalagmite caves in which countless Buddha
images of different types and time exist and traditional
Shan umbrella factory. Overnight in Pindaya.
Day
15: Pindaya - Nyaung Shwe - Inle Lake (by car/boat)
In the morning transfer to Inle lake (92km, 2 ours drive
) from Pindaya, famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic
beauty. Visit to morning floating market where one can see
several hill tribes selling and buying fresh vegetables
and regional products. Visit to Paungdawoo Pagoda, Ngaphe
chaung monastery, silversmith's workshops, traditional weaving
industry, blacksmiths and cigar making workshops. Overnight
in Inle lake.
Day 16: Inle - Nyaung Shwe - Heho - Yangon (by flight)
In the afternoon, transfer to the air port to Yangon. Overnight
in Yangon.
