Jungle trip visiting elephant camp in Bago Yoma


Day trip to Bago Yoma jungle and visit elephant camp

Detail schedule: Get up early in morning and leave Toungoo about 6:00 am drive to elephant camp (2-3 hr ) and learn how elephants are working for the logging process. Have lunch in the jungle and come back to Toungoo in afternoon.

Trip to elephant camp and Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village ( one overnight )

Day 1 : Leaving Toungoo in the morning and off-road driving to elephant camp and learn how elephants are working for the logging process. Then drive to Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village ( 3-4hr ) and study old Karen tradition and learn how they have to struggle to survive in the jungle. Overnight in the village.
Day 2 : Visit the village in the morning. Have lunch and drive back to Toungoo late in the afternoon.

Trip to elephant camp and Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village ( two overnight )

Day 1 : Leaving Toungoo in the morning and off-road driving to Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village ( 5-6hr ) and study old Karen tradition and learn how they have to struggle to survive in the jungle. Overnight in the village.
Day 2 : Visiting the village in the morning and have lunch and then cross jungle drive to elephant camp. Overnight at the elephant camp.
Day 3 : Get up early morning and follow the elephant master ( Oo Zi ) to chase his elephant which was freed in to the jungle for the whole night and learn how elephants are working for the logging process. Have lunch and drive back to Toungoo late in the afternoon.

Off-road cross-jungle trip ( Bago Yoma Crossing )

Plan 1 : Off-road cross-jungle trip ( one overnight in jungle )

Day-1 : Start from Toungoo, visit elephant camp, overnight at Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village.
Day-2 : Visit village in the morning and then to Pyay.

Plan 2 : Off-road cross-jungle trip ( two overnights in jungle )

Day-1 : Start from Toungoo, visit elephant camp, overnight at the elephant camp.
Day-2 : Off-road cross jungle trip from the elephant camp to Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village, study old Karen tradition and learn how they have to struggle to survive in the jungle. Overnight at Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village.
Day-3 : Off-road trip from Shwe-Daung-Ngwe-Daung village to Pyay.

Note: The term ‘elephant camp’ refers to a small village where the families of the elephant people are staying.
